I am the Founder/CEO of My Fair Nanny. I have a background in education, psychology and business, as well as over 8 years of experience as a Full Time Nanny. I have experience with children of all ages, as well as multiples and children with special needs. I absolutely LOVE children, watching them grow, and experiencing the pure happiness that is expressed in every little smile. I have dedicated my life to caring, teaching and loving them, as well as making sure that all "my Mom's" lives are just a little bit easier. Being a recent Bride, I know all about the excitement and STRESS that brides-to-be are under. There is so much to worry about, and sometimes we overlook the fact that our guests with children would enjoy the night even more knowing that their little ones were being taken care of by qualified and experienced nannies. I created this company to eliminate the stress of locating qualified and trustworthy childcare for your guests when all their "normal babysitters" (ie. grandma) are guests at your wedding as well. Give us a call, or send us an email and I will happily answer any questions/concerns you may have.
I have been working with children all of my life. I currently work as a certified school counselor, volunteer at an alternative school to help children obtain their GED and work with underprivileged children at the local YMCA. I have dedicated my life's work to helping children. I have been a nanny/sitter for over thirteen years to three amazing children and I am trained to work with special needs children, as well as a certified counselor. I enjoy playing all types of games and am very easy going. I practice yoga in my spare time and simply love to cook. My ultimate goal as a nanny is to bring some calm to all the moms/dads/grandparents during these events and to allow them to have a truly special, worry free day.
My passion for working with children began at a very early age. I grew up in a busy household with 4 siblings and the hustle and bustle of children running around and playing is music to my ears. My parents instilled in me the value of caring for one another and having a huge heart. Thus, the greatest decision I have made was to become a licensed social worker. I currently make a difference in the lives of children & adolescents everyday as a school social worker. I have extensive experience in working with children and adolescents of various backgrounds and abilities. I also have a background in working with special needs children. My life’s goal is caring, teaching and loving the children that I work with. I LOVE to be around the energy, eagerness and innocence that children possess. The ability for parents to entrust children in my care is personally fulfilling. With my nurturing spirit, allow me to help you to have a stress free day and to help make a difference in the life of each child I encounter!
Being the little sister growing up, I always wanted a younger sibling and truly enjoyed being around children. I have taught religious education for 3rd grade students and have also volunteered as a youth group counselor. For 9 years I volunteered/ worked at an inner city YMCA with children ranging in ages from 3-10 years old. My goal at the YMCA was to always be positive and to create a fun filled summer that my kids would always remember. I've taken these beliefs with me in life and bring them along to every event I work to make sure that each child is not only safe and happy, but that they have the kind of time in which they can't wait to tell their parents about when they get back. I enjoy sports, playing board games and doing arts and crafts, but most importantly, I guess you can say I am a big kid at heart!!
Growing up, my favorite time of year was going to camp every summer and my biggest aspiration was to be a camp counselor just like all of the women I looked up to there. Although I didn’t fulfill that dream full time, I love every chance I get to be around little kids and to inspire and excite them just like I always dreamed of doing. I have been babysitting since the age of 13 and have experience working at day camps, overnight camps, being a part-time nanny, and I even worked for the Girl Scouts right out of college. Now, I have the privilege of working for a great company that allows me to continue doing what I truly love, working with children, while also pursuing a career in healthcare consulting.
